Our identities are constantly evolving, yet few of us are ever taught how to intentionally explore them. A Moment for Reflection is a ten-minute guided workbook that translates psychological research into an accessible, hands-on experience, encouraging users to pause, reflect, and better understand one aspect of who they are.
As my senior capstone project, this guidebook combines concepts from James Marcia's Identity Status theory and E. Tory Higgins' Self-Discrepancy Theory into a series of approachable exercises. Interactive charts and ethereal illustrations inspired by stars, rivers, and flames work together to create a contemplative visual experience that mirrors the reflective process itself. Beyond the printed guidebook, I produced a free downloadable PDF and adapted several activities into large-scale interactive posters for a public gallery exhibition.
